The Maid is a mysterious young woman who appears in The Bones of Makaidos and From the Mouth of Elijah in the Valley of Lost Souls as well as in Second Eden in Omega Dragon. She has a French accent and acts as a mentor and swordsmaster to Sapphira Adi and Bonnie Silver when they are trapped in the Valley of Lost Souls for four years in preparation for their final battle against Devin and Morgan. In From the Mouth of Elijah she is revealed to be Joan of Arc, and she becomes a Companion to Karen Bannister. She is killed in the final eruption of Mount Elijah. In the end of Omega Dragon, she speaks at Bonnie Silver's coronation in Second Eden.
Appearance[]
The Maid has waist length blond hair, and wears a brown tunic on top of a white dress, with a sword scabbard on her belt. She is described as blond, lithe, and beautiful, with a peaceful joyous face. And she is usually engulfed in a fiery aura.
Reality[]
Although her identity is at first a mystery, she is ultimately revealed as Joan of Arc. Even before she is revealed, it can be suspected that she is Joan of Arc, because Joan historically called herself "The Maid," wore white, served or claimed to serve God, was French, and knew how to wield a sword.
